Yeah, guys, being a strong personality absolutely sucks. Being weak and helpless always works - people start caring about you. When you're strong - nobody gives a shite.

Sorry, guys, with all lots of stuff happpening since then , I never had time to write an update about the event or sort out the bunch of photos I made there.

That was a fun event, pity that I started feeling all the funz only at the third day of it. It started n Friday, 4th of September, but thank Goth I wasn't there, as my friends told me that open-air under cold rain is generally a bad thing. Instead of visiting the first day of NCN, I spent that day in Hamburg, where CX were playing a big show in Logo club. It was nice meeting Rodney and the guys once again, hanging around with them before the show, and of course the gig itself was an absolute hammer. I have made some photos and a video, will post linkks later.

Among other things - my hotel room in Hamburg could boast the fanciiest bathroom ever, where 2 walls and a half of the celling were made of mirrors. Very handy for trimming sides of meh head and taking weird nude pictures, heh.

Next day was an early wake up and a journey to Altenburg. Generally, the festival took place in Deutzen. it is betweel Leipzig and Altenburg, right and directkly in the middle of fookin' nowhere. Walking to the festival involved passing a picturesque flock of sheep. luvlee.
My Saturday concert plans involved Faderhead, Tamtrum, Das Ich and CX(again). I made it to the festival ground right in time, met up with my russian friends I haven't seen for ages, and heard that Faderhead was replaced by Accessory at the very last moment. Pity.

Tamtrums were not bad, but not as great as in Moscow 2 years ago. They played lots of stuff from the new album, old album, and uncategorized stuff. After the show I happened to run into B16 and Sylv in the backstage and ask some questions/give some regards.

Well, is it just me or the crowd was a bit overfed with Combichrist last week?
I've got some new stuff to play, some old stuff to play and generally hoping to play 2 sets - one dark-wavish with a wee bit of dark folk, and one oonzy, but more guitar-oriented. Think Grant will be the one to play most of Das Oontz this sat night :)

Oh, and if any of you has requests or suggestions - feel free to voice them in comments.

I'm typing this post on my Android while still stuck in Shoenefeld airport in Berlin on my way back from M'era. I slowly come to the conclusion that M'era Luna is the best festival for me. Nice place, brilliant organization, comfy camping, just right time of year, and friendly crowd of course. This festival was way better organised than previous ones. I must admit, it's evolution. M'era gets better every year and hopefully the organizers won't rest on their laurels. This year the headloners were Prodigy and Nightwish. Funny, both bands I can call my teenage love. And while Nightwish was+a+massive,+massive+MASSIVE+disappointment,+The+Prodigy+were+really+working+miracles+on+stage.+And+off+stage.+And+even+walking+on+the+thin+barrier+between+security+zone+and+crowd+-+still+working+miracles.+They+played+old+and+new+hits,+to+the+crowd's+gread+pleasure.+So,+to+all+the+skeptics+-+The+Prodigy+were+really+a+great+headliner+choice+for+this+year's+festival.
Ok.+I+got+almost+1000+pictures+taken,+perhaps+200+will+be+good,+and+they+will+be+the+best+proof+to+my+words+that+M'era+is+great.

Ok, putting all the story here, just to save myself telling and typing in the future.

Yes, some particular places in this country are run by not the most responsible people. That's what we met in Peader Kearney's. The worst part was that i was kinda feeling that it was going to happen at some point. We had been cancelled with no notice before- with only difference that that time the fuckers were stupid enough to put the event's posters all over the venue beforehand. So we dropped in to set up for birthday Dominion and faced the truth the management had no balls to tell us.

A tuesday after that we had a meeting with the management just to find out what the fook is going on and is it something we should get used to from now on. We were assured that Dominion on 25th is 100% sure booked and the only thing we had to do is to advertise the club a bit and make the crowd come early. So we spent the rest of the week advertising-postering-flyering, we even came up with new pricing scheme.
So, on Saturday 25th we were flyering in Temple bar and dropped in to PKs to replace the poster... and to find out that we are cancelled this evening. With no notice at all. It was mere luck that we found it out at 5, notat 9 or 9:30. It was even bigger luck that Dominion's older venue had nothing on this night, so within 4 hours we relocated there. But Alan still had to stay at PK's door almost all night long just in order to redirect people to new/old place.
But hey, we were on, and it was a fun night. All good. The venue is not as fab as PK's was, but at least sound system works, and managers are friendly. And there's good food uupstairs and good Czech beers!

The only thing I can say about PK's is that this is not the way business is done. And this recession does separates professionals from cowboys. I wish the mis-managers of PKs to face the results of their fucking up people repeatedly as soon as possible.

Implant - Implantology

Brilliant new album from belgian duo, featuring such guests as JLDM from F242.
My favourite tracks so far are "Nicht Tanzen" and "We are Noise"
Source: Alfa matrix

GRoSsSTaDtGEFLueSTER - BIS EINER HEULT!!!

NoT THAt iT maKeS Me WRite in SUCH LetterZ or SOMefink (BTW REAL BLONDES SHOULD HONESTLY HOLD DOWN SHIFT)
But seriously, nice album. Got it from some CD shop on Blackfield. Dancy and humorous electropop for when your mood needs to be lifted a bit.

Cabaret Voltaire - Methodology '74/'78

A ust have in my collection, this box of 3 CDs is the only CD I have bought in Ireland so far. They still have some copies in Tower, if anybody is interested.

Cyan Inc - Better Leave me Dying

This is not something new, the album was released in 2007, and the song "Midas Touch" appeared on a number of samplers. After downloading the full album from eMusic i can honestly say that though this song is absolutely brilliant, it is not the best on the album.

Oh yes, that was a lazy night. For the crowd, not for me, Conor or Jess (congrats with your first set, daarling :))
I don't know what's the reason, but it was quite slow, and the people seemed relaxed and not in the dansiest mood. But we did our best. You know the rest :)

For me it was also a test drive of Traktor Scratch Pro. I like it so far, much handier than Traktor 3, though some controls are weird.

I was strarting this night, so took my chance to play a nice slow set. Next set was a bit dancier, featuring tracks from Cassandra Complex, Otto Dix and Zeromancer. I had some new stuff prepared for this night. And some tracks, like Tamtrum's "Ass Rider" or Komor's "Das Oontz" were accepted quite well.

Ok, 4 days in Germany, 2 rainy and 2 sunny, knowing my luck, the rainy ones were actual days of the festival. But still it was fun. Camping, walking around the area, watching bands. And I got drunk with guys from KLOQ!
More detils later, now bath and sleep in a REAL bed.

Saturday's weather was a bit gloomy, but still warm.In the afternoon (there's no such thing as morning when you are at a goff festival) I decided to take a walk around the city, take some pictures and have some proper food. I must admit, I like taking pictures when the sky is grey and cloudy- this way pics have some melancholic mood, there's none of "postcard glamour" in them
